Community Grants focus areas update

Following a review in June 2025, FFV has sharpened the focus of our Community Grants.

For this years’ Community Grants program (2025), our two key focus areas will be Education and Community Development.

Education

Programs that improve educational outcomes or meaningful post-school pathways for students experiencing socio-economic disadvantage. This may include improving school engagement, improved educational outcomes or accessibility, improved well-being, skills development or personal development.

Community Development

Programs and projects that address social inequity for community groups experiencing socio-economic disadvantage.

This shift is part of a broader strategic review to deliver a more targeted approach in support our areas of focus. This will help us offer deeper engagement with grant recipients, tell richer stories of impact, and sharpen the purpose behind our grantmaking. We’ll still maintain support to other focus areas via our other programs (Masonic and Education Grants, Strategic Multi-Year partnership grants, Scholarships and Tertiary Support).

If you think your project aligns with one of these categories, please give us a call to discuss it on (03) 8535 4780.
