FFV MASONIC GRANTS PROGRAM
Freemasons Foundation Victoria supports the philanthropic activities of Victorian Masonic Lodges and Districts through a range of matched funding opportunities.
Applications are opening on 1 July 2026, closing on the 31st of May 2027.
MASONIC COMMUNITY AND EDUCATION MATCHING GRANTS
Support local community organisations and educational initiatives through matched funding. Masonic Orders can apply to Freemasons Foundation Victoria on behalf of their local nominated charity to support projects of a worthy and charitable nature for the benefit of the Victorian community.

Masonic Orders:
-
Craft Lodges warranted and on the register of the United Grand Lodge of Victoria
-
Mark Lodges warranted and on the register of the United Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Victoria
-
Chapters warranted and on the register of the Supreme Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Victoria
-
Formalised Masonic social groups
If unsure please contact the Foundation to confirm if your order or social group qualifies to apply.
Financial Donation Matching
Lodges can apply for matched funding based on financial donations made to eligible community organisations and projects.
-
Lodge donations are matched at a ratio of 1:4
-
The Foundation will contribute up to $10,000 per Lodge, per financial year
-
Applications must include Lodge minutes confirming approval of the donation from the Lodge
-
Where multiple Lodges support the same project, each Lodge's contribution will be assessed individually and minutes from each participating Lodge must be provided
Volunteer matching
The Foundation also recognises the value of volunteer time contributed by Masonic members.
Instead of a financial donation, eligible Masonic Orders may apply for matched funding based on volunteer hours undertaken in support of an eligible not-for-profit organisation.
-
Volunteer hours must directly support the organisation receiving the grant
-
Volunteer hours must be endorsed through Lodge or District meeting minutes
-
A record of volunteer hours from the eligible community organisation must be submitted with the application
-
Volunteer hours are converted to a monetary value using the recognised Volunteering Australia Cost of Volunteering Calculator
-
The Foundation matches the calculated value of volunteer hours at a ratio of 1:4
Please note: Volunteer Matching forms part of a Lodge's annual Community Grant allocation. Funding approved through Volunteer Matching is not additional to the maximum $10,000 per Lodge, per financial year.
Masonic Community Grants Matching
The Masonic Community Grants Matching Program provides two ways for Lodges to support eligible not-for-profit organisations and community projects.
Both Financial Donation Matching and Volunteer Matching are accessed through the same application form.
Education awards
Lodges can apply for support for scholarships, prizes and education award programs. Please contact the Foundation to discuss how the Foundation can contribute to matching for this program.
For new Education Award programs, a Foundation contribution broadly equivalent to the Masonic Community Grant matching ratio of 1:4 should be used as a guide.
Please note: Masonic Education Scholarship Matching is separate from the Masonic Community Grants Matching Program and does not count towards a Lodge's annual Community Grant allocation of $10,000.
District Coordinator Matching Grants
District Coordinators can access matched funding to support district-wide fundraising initiatives involving multiple lodges..
A district-wide fundraising initiative is a fundraising activity or event coordinated by a District Coordinator and supported by Lodges across the District.
-
Lodge contributions may be pooled and submitted as a single District application
-
The Foundation will match contributions at a ratio of 1:4
-
Funding is available up to $10,000 per District, per financial year and is considered separately to Masonic Community grant allocations.
