Which grant are you interested in?

Freemasons Foundation Victoria may approve, under the terms of its Trust Deed, assistance to Victorian Craft Lodges to support them in contributing to the education of children in local schools through means of a FFV Education Grant.

As a general guide, the support can be awarded on the basis of academic achievement or financial need.

Education Grant

Freemasons Foundation Victoria will assist Masonic Orders whenever possible, in their philanthropic activities within their local community in the areas of Health & Medical Research, Community Development, Education, Youth Development Programs and Indigenous Programs. Please ensure that your cause is a not-for-profit organisation.

Masonic Orders:

  • Craft Lodges warranted and on the register of the United Grand Lodge of Victoria.

  • Mark Lodges warranted and on the register of United Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Victoria.

  • Chapters warranted and on the register of Supreme Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Victoria.

Masonic Grants

  • A total of $500,000 is available for grants in 2023/2024. The maximum value a Masonic Order can apply for in 2023/2024 is $10,000 to support local community organisations.

  • The Foundation will not fund a project designed to benefit an individual or a family and does not support general fundraising appeals.

  • Copy of minutes showing the amount being contributed and the amount requesting from the Foundation must be attached to the application.

  • The Foundation reserves the right to decline an application or vary the amount applied for in accordance with the Foundations policies and guidelines.

  • Current quotations must be attached to the application for any equipment purchase.

  • Projects already completed, repayment of cost already incurred and the advancement of sport, recreation or social activities are not considered charitable by the Australian Tax Office and are regrettably unable to be supported within this specific program.
